What we collect
The writing-help form collects your name, email address, optional phone number, optional writer background and writing type, your note, and either one uploaded document or a document link. The contact form collects your name, email address, optional phone number, optional school or organization, inquiry type, and message.
Why we use it
We use form information to review and respond to your request, operate the writing-help process, protect the forms from misuse, and resolve delivery or privacy questions. We do not ask you to disclose a diagnosis.
How submissions are delivered
Website messages are sent through Resend, our email delivery provider, to the team email addresses configured for this site. An uploaded document is stored temporarily on the website server, attached to the outgoing email, and removed from the website server after the delivery attempt. If delivery fails, the website does not intentionally keep the uploaded document for later retry.
After successful delivery, the message and any attachment exist in the email provider's systems and in the recipient mailboxes. A shared link remains hosted by the service you chose, such as Google Drive, OneDrive, or Dropbox, under that service's settings.
What not to send
Please remove highly sensitive information that is not needed for writing feedback, including Social Security numbers, financial account information, passwords, private medical records, or another person's confidential information. If your document contains information you are unsure about, contact us before sharing it.
Who reviews messages
The organization is currently small and volunteer-led. Writing and contact requests are delivered to two designated team recipients. We may limit access further as roles and systems develop.
Your choices
You may ask us to delete a message or attachment from team-controlled mailboxes, correct your contact details, or answer a privacy question. We will make a reasonable effort to act on the request, though we cannot control copies you retain or links and files held by an outside service.
Service providers and security
The website is hosted on Render, uses Cloudflare for domain and network services, and uses Resend for outbound email. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure, so share only what is necessary.
